Attorney Artur Kuznetsov's Book «Abroad» Has Been Published

Publishing house Gorodets has released my documentary novel «Abroad» — a book based on real cases from international legal practice.

This is not fiction, nor is it a legal textbook.

These are stories that actually happened: in courtrooms, airports, police stations, and negotiation rooms across different countries.

What the book is about

«Abroad» is a collection of documentary stories about international family conflicts, child abduction and recovery, cross-jurisdictional legal battles, and the price people pay for the decisions of adults.

Buenos Aires, Miami, New York, Monaco, Las Vegas, the US–Mexico border — the geography of the book spans more than one country, because the conflicts themselves have long since ceased to be local.

At the centre of the narrative are real cases:

custody and child residence disputes;

international searches and court injunctions;

situations where the law is formally complied with, yet justice remains in doubt;

choices that cannot be undone.

The book shows international law from the inside — through the eyes of an attorney who personally participated in these cases.

Why this book came to be

Over the years of practice I have witnessed dozens of stories that cannot be told in the format of a court decision or a consultation.

There is too much humanity in them — fear, hope, despair, mistakes, and strength.

This book is an attempt to honestly document the reality in which:

children become the subject of disputes;

borders are turned into weapons;

court rulings do not always align with the sense of justice.

Where to buy the book

Next step

Review the documents, deadlines, jurisdiction and a realistic legal position

A consultation helps you see the structure of the dispute and the available steps — without promising an outcome.
